First of all, thank you, the reader, the poet, the writer, relative, colleague, and friend, for purchasing a copy of the inaugural issue of Ballard Street Poetry Journal. Secondly, deepest thanks to all of our contributors for helping us create, what we believe is a strong first issue filled with diverse voices.
I would also like to thank the staff of Ballard Street Poetry Journal, all of whom volunteer their time to make it happen: the assistant editors, Ted Blackler, Jenith Charpentier (who also assists with layout), and my husband (whose continued encouragement finally pushed me into creating this publication,) David Macpherson. Not to be forgotten, much thanks to our web consultants, Robert Gill and Gary Hoare.
Our goal at Ballard Street Poetry Journal is to promote new and existing voices and contribute their words to the world of poetry and literature. Please check our website at www.ballardstreetpoetryjournal.com to not only read some of the poems published in the current issue, but also to check for reading periods and subscription information. We also hope to possibly create an online gallery of the artists who appear on our future covers.
Thank you again, and we hope you enjoy the poets and their poems featured in Ballard Street Poetry Journal.
Best,
Heather J. Macpherson
